Camp Donegal, Jan. 22-24, 2016 - This is a "Memorial Retreat" for Tina Volz who lost her battle with cancer last year. She had taken charge of the prior retreats for several years. The fun and laughter was never-ending, not to mention the great meals that were served by the fantastic cook at Camp Donegal. I look forward to a weekend full of fun, laughter and little sleep! I will be taking orders for USDA Lamb, 4 kinds of sausage and retail cuts. Info. to follow this week!
Fiber Retreat at Bird In Hand Inn, Jan. 29-31, 2016. This will be a first time at this retreat for me but some of the same fiber friends - so fun for sure! Again, my lamb will be for sale (if ordered prior to Jan. 20.). Wholesale w/whole or half lambs and retail cuts will be offered with 4 kinds of sausage: Breakfast, Chorizo, Italian and Santa Fe. This sausage is very low in fat and all made with my mutton. More information this week! I will also have my roving and whatever else I am able to fit in my car with me for sale w/scales!
I know where fall went, it went into fiber festivals! I thank all my fiber and jam customers for making this past fall the success that it was - wow, thank you again! I am now getting ready for The Winter Blues Markets, one is held in Charleston, WV and one will be held in Morgantown, WV. Stayed tuned for more information and also check facebook.
Beautiful roving, go to the "Roving" page on the website, prices are listed. The colors are outstanding this year and selling well, thank you!
All sheep, alpacas & llamas are doing well. Shearing will be here for the sheep the end of February and hopefully for the alpacas & llamas in April! Busy year ahead but all is good!
"Just love those treats!"
This is Yukon, the spunky llama that lives on the farm...he is labeled as a "guard" animal - but in reality, he is guarded! I don't think that he could or would attack a predator and he is NOT going to take the test, so he gets locked up at night!
