These are new suet cake holders - they are filled with assorted fiber scraps to assist the birds in the building of their nests. You will find that the holders/boxes come in handy when cold weather hits your area and may be filled with suet cakes - "for the birds!" My suggestion is this: when you find suet cakes on sale, buy several and keep them in your freezer for future use. You will be amazed as the speed the suet cakes are eaten during the cold winter months!
