USDA Lamb -
Wholesale & Retail

1.  Support your local farmer and your country!
2. Support yourself with a better product - know
that it is free from added chemicals and gases
to make it look fresh and "red" - as with all               meats are that "make that trip overseas"! Have       you ever noticed a package of meat that shows         a swollen plastic wrap? This is a sign that
gases were used to preserve the meat & make it
"look fresh" but this is far from the truth! The
gases are merely escaping the meat & then
causing the plastic wrap to swell...but it looks
     fresh?
3. The Coopworth & Jacob breeds are delicious -          very lean & mild in flavor, not "gamey" as most          that makes that " trip across the ocean".

NOT TO BE ORDERED ONLINE, THE DRY ICE AND PACKING RULES ARE VERY COSTLY!
Price list at bottom of page...

Sausage/5 kinds ( mutton from our farm). 1 lb. packs @$10/lb.

Breakfast Sausage - A mild sausage that contains no sage. It is replaced by nutmeg and ginger for a
more delicate flavor. Delicious at breakfast, grilled or used in casseroles and soups! Almost
                       gone!
(No MSG) SOLD OUT!

Breakfast Sausage
 - A mild sausage that contains sage, salt & pepper. A delicious blend of "southern"
seasonings to offer a mild, delicious sausage for breakfast or on the grill! (No MSG) ALMOST GONE!

Chorizo Sausage - A blend of spices to give you a delicious sausage that is common in Mexican cuisine. This
sausage is very popular and delicious in chili and casseroles! (No MSG) ALMOST GONE!

Sweet Italian Sausage - A mild flavored blend of seasoning. Great for pizza, lasagna, meatballs, spaghetti
                               sauce,
any Italian dish! A delicious blend of fennel, black pepper, salt and sugar. (No MSG) LOW!

Zesty Italian Sausage - This seasoning blend holds the flavor of a delicious Italian Sausage but not                                                           hot. A great balance of fennel, black pepper with a hint of anise and garlic!
Great in homemade spaghetti sauce or soups or meatballs! (No MSG) LOW!

Sausage inventory is getting low, Covid has caused problems in getting a USDA butcher!
*Any questions? Call 1-304-462-8043 or email: debbie@heartsofthemeadow.com

* I have whole lambs at this time "ready to sell", call and I will give you the hanging weight and the specific cuts. The leg and shoulder will be with or w/o bone. The loin will be in chops and will have 2 per pack. Most of the ribs will be in French Cut Chops w/4" bone, although I may have some rib racks w/4" bone in retail. The breast will either be ground or in riblets and you will have several packs of ground lamb, packed in 1 lb. packs. The shanks are whole and usually 1 per pack, this is to allow a 1/2 lamb to be ordered. Call for information and prices based on the hanging weights that are available, thank you!                    Fantastic for grilling all year!

The best way to purchase wholesale/retail  lamb is to first know the cuts - a cut sheet from American Lamb:
Please note that my costs at the butcher have increased from $70 to $95, fuel has also increased as well as my driving distance. However, your cost to me has only increased by $1 per pound - I am trying to make as much use out of my two hour drive to Charleston as possible when we take lambs to be butcher or I go to pick up the meat. This is to your benefit, thank you!
If you decide to order a whole or half lamb, you must know where the cuts come from to place an order & be pleased when the order arrives - for example: you may not get a whole leg and a sirloin roast from half a lamb.....
the sirloin is part of the leg. Many of us have not been raised on a farm and are not familiar with the specific cuts of any meat, we are too use to a simple trip to the local grocery store!

Wholesale Prices (whole lamb): $10/lb. (Includes butcher fees! )

(Two people may share a whole lamb for the lesser price)
