USDA Lamb -
Wholesale & Retail

1.  Support your local farmer and your country!
2. Support yourself with a better product - know
that it is free from added chemicals and gases
to make it look fresh and "red" - as with all               meats are that "make that trip overseas"! Have       you ever noticed a package of meat that shows         a swollen plastic wrap? This is a sign that
gases were used to preserve the meat & make it
"look fresh" but this is far from the truth! The
gases are merely escaping the meat & then
causing the plastic wrap to swell...but it looks
     fresh?
3. The Coopworth & Jacob breeds are delicious -          very lean & mild in flavor, not "gamey" as most          that makes that " trip across the ocean".

Fantastic for grilling all year! A packet of free recipes and booklets will come with each whole or half order. I also include specific recipes that I use if requested for specific cuts of lamb. A lean, mild, not gamey lamb/delicious!
The best way to purchase wholesale/retail  lamb is to first know the cuts - a cut sheet from American Lamb:
Please note that my costs at the butcher have increased from $70 to $95, fuel has also increased as well as my driving distance. However, your cost to me has not increased by that percentage - I am trying to make as much use out of my two hour drive to Charleston as possible when we take lambs to be butcher or I go to pick up the meat. This is to your benefit, thank you!
If you decide to order a whole or half lamb, you must know where the cuts come from to place an order & be pleased when the order arrives - for example: you may not get a whole leg and a sirloin roast from half a lamb.....
the sirloin is part of the leg. Many of us have not been raised on a farm and are not familiar with the specific cuts of any meat, we are too use to a simple trip to the local grocery store!

Wholesale Prices (whole lamb): $12/lb. (Includes butcher fees! )
